Manufacturing EngineeringContract Position based in Coventry & DC Minworth (Hybrid working)Rate: £28.41/hr Umbrella (inside IR35)12 month initial contractPosition Description:The Trading Division Imports function enables the business to import Chinese & Indian produced components for use in the UK and European manufacturing facilities.As an Imports Outbound Analyst, you’ll be the daily point of contact for the manufacturing plants, ensuring all plant deliverables are managed and parts are shipped on time, in full and within targets.The role will also involve supporting the contract management of service providers. The outbound team oversees the operations process and is critical to facilitating a seamless handoff of customer demand through the E2E process as enabler to an efficient outbound process through accurate control and data alignment. Key Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesComplete shipping and SAP tasks required to achieve 100% on time and in full delivery of parts supply to all 12 UK & EU customers.Ensure accuracy and adherence to schedule releases, shipping and export standards Monitor/ Control and Reporting of parts stocks and shipping status in line with Schedule parameters - Time and Quality and escalate issues transparently where appropriateWork on the Pre-production volume requirements and parts run-outs, including management of New Parts for Model Year and Running Change requirementsWork closely with 3PL to resolve any supply issues Help resolve any change requests required to SAP systems to optimise the processesMaintain contact with customers and freight forwarders, optimising trailer utilisation and monitoring dock adherenceResolve SAP IDOCs failures related to Operations issuesSupport the Outbound premium freight process Liaison with cross-functional teams to ensure the stock levels are maintained at the correct level to maintain production when parts issues are identifiedUndertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requestedEssential Skills, Knowledge and ExperienceStrong analytical and MS Excel SkillsAbility to quickly understand and challenge Logistics processesPrevious experience in Material Planning / Logistics, preferably from within Motor Manufacturing / FMCG or Supply Base IndustryExperience of Customer Relationship ManagementGood problem solving techniques and understanding of lean manufacturing principlesGood analytical skills in data control and understanding of production processesAn individual who is results driven with the ability to deliver operational plans in a highly demanding environmentAn individual with the ability to prioritise their work loadA good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideasAn effective team player who supports team membersAbility to quickly understand and challenge Logistics processesERP Systems knowledge (SAP / CMMS3 / other)Ability to demonstrate problem solving ability/techniques and benefit contributionPreferredExperience and/or knowledge of working with SAP is an advantageUnderstanding of Manufacturing production methods desirableEducationRelevant Degree or equivalent experience preferredIn order for your CV to be processed effectively, please ensure your name, email address, phone number and location (post code OR town OR county, as a minimum) are included
