Hardware Design Engineer – North Cambridge – Salary: £60k - £90k

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join a Cambridge based company who develop cutting edge start-of-the-art telephony / telecommunications devices, which incorporate advanced microphones, audio ICs, acoustics, embedded DSP, etc.

The hardware design engineer / electronics design engineer will be developing hardware and new system designs for future devices. You will work cross-functionally with other disciplines through all stages from early concepts to system design, implementation, and release to production. You get to work with the latest technologies and systems with the aim of pushing the boundaries and create state of the art products.

We're looking for individuals who like dealing with ambiguity, solving hard, largescale problems, and working in an innovative environment.

Requirements of Hardware Design Engineer / Electronics Design Engineer

Degree educated in Electronics Engineering or related field

5+ years’ of recent and relevant experience in hardware design and architecture for high speed, low power electronics.

Experience with complex board design from requirement collection through schematic,

layout, manufacturing, and validation.

Experienced in electronic design tools (Altium, Xpedition or Cadence)

High speed digital design experience, USB3, MIPI Gigabit ethernet, DDRX memory.

Understanding of Digital Communication/Signal Processing.

Knowledge in EMC testing and its regulatory requirements.

Experience in design for manufacturing and test.

Experience with RF and EM simulation tools (HFSS, ADS/CST).

Self-motivated and flexible to switch context.

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Team player with excellent communication skills.

Salary: £60k - £90k + Excellent Bens
