Whittington NHS Trust, with their outstanding reputation in safe, personal, coordinated care for their local community, is seeking a registered critical care nurse to join their committed Intensive Care Unit team in a flexible and rewarding role.
Known for being one of the safest hospitals in England, Whittington Health provides expert care for more than 500,000 local people and is valued by its local community. Alongside the main Whittington Hospital, they have 30 community locations in the north London boroughs of Islington and Haringey. The hospital’s exceptional Critical Care services are provided in a single area for adults with a range of emergency conditions, and the ICU specialists provide complex monitoring and support of severe health conditions round the clock. Excellence in patient care is at the centre of everything Whittington do; they provide an impressive critical care outreach service, which operates seven days a week and offers follow-up support for recovering patients recently discharged from the ICU.
This is a superb opportunity for a qualified critical care nurse to join a committed clinical team and fast-track their knowledge and experience within this highly regarded educational hospital. This role is ideal for an ITU nurse who values delivering the highest standard of patient care and who is seeking the opportunity to learn and progress in their career.
Important Requirements:
- NMC Registration & ITU qualified
- At least 6 months NHS experience in that last 3 years
- Robust clinical knowledge, strong initiative, and an ability to remain calm and work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Honesty and integrity, and a caring patient-centred approach
