Assistant Category Manager

Hobson Prior is collaborating with a CDMO located in Nottingham, who are seeking an Assistant Category Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of gift cards. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to identify new opportunities and efficiencies within the category. You should be driven to succeed and possess strong time management skills to thrive in this fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Manage in-store, online, gift mall, and multi-redemption cards, including stock management and ordering processes.
- Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers and internal teams.
- Serve as the expert on all gift card systems and processes for both in-store and online operations.
- Act as the primary contact for gift card queries from various departments and external partners.
- Collaborate with large third-party partners to deliver B2C, B2B, and gift mall sales.
- Lead and deliver the category's Gift Guide pages.
- Oversee the supply/allocation process for stores.
- Request and manage purchase orders to ensure timely payment to suppliers.
- Support the Gift Card Category Manager in delivering sales, strategy, and new ideas within the category.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Expertise in process, planning, and delivery.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet sales and profit targets.
- Strong communication skills for building internal and external relationships.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Confidence in presenting and leading meetings.
- Knowledge of the gift card industry is preferred but not essential.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in category or client relationship roles.
- Proficiency in managing financial processes.
