Field Service Engineer

SMT GB Brownhills depot

Monday to Friday 38.5 hours per week As one of our team of skilled and professional mobile plant engineers youll be providing our customers with your mechanical expertise when dealing with breakdowns, repairs, maintenance and overhauls on our Volvo heavy plant and machinery at customer sites around the Stone/Stoke-on-Trent/Stafford area. Working on Volvo Construction Equipment such as wheeled loaders, articulated haulers, hydraulic excavators, and utility and road equipment youll be identifying mechanical problems and offering guidance and advice to customers. Youll also be responsible for completing job reports, paper based and online, time sheets and parts ordering. Working a 5-day week Monday to Friday the hours are: Monday to Wednesday 08.00

16.30 Thursday 08.00

16.00 Fridays 8.00 - 15.30

Time and a half on hours outside of core hours Monday to noon Saturday

Your skills This role requires an experienced/time served mobile service and repair engineer with an NVQ L3 (or equivalent) in Plant Maintenance or Land Based Engineering. Youll be used to working independently in the field and have proven experience of attending breakdowns and carrying out repairs, services and maintenance (mechanical and electrical), on heavy mobile plant including construction, agricultural or land moving machinery.
