Joining Waterman Aspen as Traffic Engineer will see you as a key member of the North West team and you can expect: A varied client base where you can apply and develop your skills Buy-in from clients to assist in your technical progression Further exposure to your chosen industry - increasing your awareness, knowledge and sharpening your skills The flexibility to broaden your horizons with each new secondment, without changing your employer Career development and training to reach your professional or academic qualification goals supported by our own network of mentors and managers Paid subscription to a professional body of your choice Regular social events and volunteering opportunities Experience required… Essential: UK experience within a public, private or third-sector UK-based client Progress Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTRO’s) and Traffic Regulation order, liaise with street works on Traffic Management plans and general Traffic Management enquiries Investigation of traffic management complaints and problems and the formulation of appropriate solutions. Organisation and monitoring of all stages involved in the processing of Traffic Regulation Orders/Street Closure Orders including liaison with Legal Services and the Greater Manchester Police and notifying appropriate Ward Councillors. Organisation and monitoring of costs in relation to the implementation of Traffic Regulation Orders Organisation and processing of documentation associated with requests for the making of temporary Traffic Regulation Orders. Provision of guidance to statutory undertakers in relation to traffic engineering aspects of their work on the highway and assessment of the traffic implications of notices submitted under the New Roads and Street Works Act. A full UK driving licence Schemes are likely to include alterations to the highway following complaints from members of the public / councils. The role will require the input of traffic regulation orders detailing the exact dimensions using standard to ensure the traffic regulation orders are installed in accordance with the supporting legal order Desirable: Relevant design software/CAD/Civils 3D /where appropriate.
