Job Title: Business Development Manager (Ref: 193245) Location: East Midlands, with hybrid working (2 days a week in the office) Contact: samuel.robinson@forsythbarnes.com This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading football club and play a key role in driving commercial growth during a pivotal period. You'll be at the forefront of securing new partnerships and sponsorships that deliver tangible commercial results and strengthen the club's market presence. The Role Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you'll be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new national and regional partnership opportunities. You'll play a central role in expanding the commercial portfolio, building meaningful relationships, and creating long-term value through impactful sponsorship agreements. Once deals are secured, you'll work closely with the account management team to ensure seamless partner onboarding and activation, helping deliver partnerships that reflect the ambition and prestige of the club. Key Responsibilities: • Identify and pursue new national and regional sponsorship and partnership opportunities. • Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline from prospecting through to contract close. • Support the Chief Commercial Officer in delivering commercial strategy and revenue targets. • Collaborate with account management to ensure effective partner handover and activation. • Represent the club at meetings, networking events, and industry conferences. • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify emerging opportunities. • Create compelling partnership proposals and tailored commercial packages. Essential Experience: • Proven experience in business development, sponsorship sales, or partnership management (sports, entertainment, or related sectors preferred). • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable negotiation and closing skills. • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities. • Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently. • Passion for football and a solid understanding of the sports commercial landscape.
