Financial Controller - Halifax - Permanent - £65,000pa

I'm supporting a fantastic client looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join their Finance Team ASAP for a full-time permanent position.

This role will report directly into the Chief Financial Officer and will be based at their base in Halifax. The role is 5 days on site with the view of hybrid working long term. Salary is £65,000pa and the role is offering fantastic benefits such as BUPA scheme, fantastic pension scheme etc.

Successful candidates must be CIMA or ACCA qualified and have experience of preparation and analysis reports and have worked at FC level previously in a Finance capacity.

Responsibilities as a Financial Controller:

  • Preparation of group monthly management accounts in a timely manner, to include appropriate reconciliations and analytical review across the business.
  • Preparation & analysis of reports for the bank, ensuring satisfaction of contractual obligations.
  • Ensure timely month-end closure of the sales, purchase and general ledgers ensuring accurate cut-off in relation to monthly purchase and sales invoices.
  • Cashflow forecasting and management and preparation of annual group & department budgets with ongoing analytical review across the business.

Requirements of the role:

  • CIMA / ACA qualified.
  • Characteristics of thoroughness, self-motivation, persistence, resilience and dedication.
  • Advanced IT skills (Excel essential).
