As the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer (DCNO), you will work in close collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure the highest standards of patient care and nursing practice. Your leadership will be crucial in overseeing clinical operations, driving quality improvement initiatives, and cultivating a culture of excellence and innovation within our nursing team.
Clinical Leadership: Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure delivery of exceptional patient care
Quality Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based practices and continuous improvement.
Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve organisational goals.
Resource Management : Efficiently manage nursing resources to ensure optimal staff performance and patient care.
Policy Development: Develop and enforce policies that uphold the hospital’s standards and regulatory requirements.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work collaboratively with various healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment, supporting the professional growth and development of nursing staff.
Education, Qualifications, and Training:
Current NMC Registration
Educated to Degree level in a health-related subject or equivalent.
Educated to Master’s degree level in a health-related subject or equivalent
Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
Significant relevant UK-based clinical experience at a senior level in a complex acute healthcare environment
Substantial experience in nursing management within a UK-based healthcare setting, with a track record of leadership roles beyond matron level, including positions at divisional management level or equivalent.
Champion for excellent patient care and quality
