Lower Key Stage 2 Teacher (Maternity Cover) – January 2025 Start Are you an adaptable and proactive educator ready to make a positive impact? We are recruiting for an enthusiastic Lower Key Stage 2 teacher to join a primary school on a maternity cover basis starting in January 2025. About the Role: We are seeking a teacher who brings self-assurance and a passion for inspiring learning in young children. As a maternity cover teacher, you’ll need to demonstrate your ability to be adaptable, handling the dynamic nature of a busy classroom while delivering engaging and challenging lessons that support the potential of every pupil. Key Responsibilities: Deliver the curriculum to Lower Key Stage 2 students with enthusiasm and creativity. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages mutual respect and collaboration. Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, becoming a trusted and dependable figure. Demonstrate empathy and awareness of individual student needs, ensuring that all learners feel valued and supported. Provide appropriate levels of challenge and support, adapting your teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles. Manage classroom behaviour effectively with confidence and a focus on positive reinforcement. Be an active and engaged member of the wider school community, contributing to the team ethos through collaboration and open communication. Show a commitment to continuous improvement by reflecting on your practice and being receptive to feedback.
