Our staff team has grown significantly over the last two years, and this year we are sending teams to revitalise the two neighbouring churches of St Francis and St Clare's.
As Operations Director your principal goal is turning Emmanuel’s vision into action, building the platform for ministry, mission, and growth, and overseeing all of Emmanuel’s operational efforts.
This is a strategic and high-level role working closely with our vicar, Thom.
A significant part of this role will be leading the integration of St Francis and St Clare with Emmanuel: developing and overseeing the necessary joint structures for ministry and operations.
This role will develop and establish systems and processes across the family of churches and enable others to execute them, as well as leading and inspiring the operations team.
As a key member of Emmanuel’s senior leadership and therefore we expect you to bring spiritual maturity, to be humble and servant hearted, be well respected, full of the spirit of wisdom, as well as bring strategic and technical leadership to the role.
The operations team at Emmanuel currently comprises a Parish Office Manager and Administrative Assistant, who together deliver the day-to-day administration of the church office, Sunday services, and regular events. The finance team comprises the volunteer PCC Treasurer and volunteer Finance administrator, who oversee all day-to-day financial processes.
It would of course be expected that, over time, the Operations Director will be involved in actively reshaping these structures and teams to best fit the needs of the church, their own giftings and the giftings of those in their teams.
The right candidate will be passionate about people, as well as implementing streamlined processes, enabling an environment where all can play their part.
