Madisons Recruitment are looking for a Construction Estimator on a permanent basis for a client located in Bedford, Bedfordshire. Our client deliver multiple projects across multiple sectors within the Home Counties. They have a diverse portfolio working across a variety of sectors that include Residential, Education, Healthcare, and Commercial with these projects being a mixture of New Builds, Refurbishments and Fit Outs. The values of these projects typically range between £100,000 - £5 m+. Responsibilities As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in operations, carrying out take-offs, bills of quantities, cost plans, and tenders for a range of clients. Prior experience in an estimating role along with familiarity with industry standards will be beneficial. Full Time office base role in Bedford 8.00 am – 5 pm Monday to Friday. Requirements 5+ years’ experience in an estimating role. Must be fully computer literate and have excellent working and practical knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools. “Taking off” and preparing accurate and all-inclusive Bills of quantities. Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making. High level of integrity. Proven track record of carrying out similar duties. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Accurate eye for detail. Full UK driving license. Must be a self-motivated individual who is used to working in a team environment. Ability to work on their own initiative. Must be a quick learner. Experience using Causeway or similar pricing software Benefits Competitive Salary range of £40,000 to £60,000 plus package, this position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the construction industry. 29 days annual leave per year inclusive of bank holidays Receive a travel/car allowance for added convenience.
