My client is a leading Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) consultancy specialising in innovative engineering solutions for various building projects. Position: Electrical Building Services Engineer

Job Type: Full-time

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Building Services Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and building services, with expertise in utilising various software tools for design and analysis. The role will involve working closely with clients, conducting site surveys, and managing projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical building service systems for a range of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Utilise software tools such as Relux, Dialux, Hevacomp, Amtech/Trimble, AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM for design, analysis, and simulation purposes.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems with overall building designs.
  • Conduct site surveys to gather relevant data and assess existing conditions for project planning and execution.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and drawings for client review and approval.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to address inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in technology, and regulatory changes relevant to electrical building services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience working in a similar role within the M&E consultancy or building services industry.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as Relux, Dialux, Hevacomp, Amtech/Trimble, AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems design, including lighting, power distribution, and fire detection systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing electrical building services.
