Financial Systems Officer
Job Type: Temporary - Initial 5 month contract
69 per hour (PAYE)
West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) are seeking a proactive Financial Systems Officer to join their operational systems team. This role involves working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient resolution of queries and continuous improvement of financial systems.
Provide support and development for all external provider and related financial system modules.
Identify and develop solutions to financial system issues.
Collaborate with internal and external colleagues on system upgrades and related projects.
Lead the review and updating of finance system development procedure/process notes, user guides, and associated information.
Conduct financial system product reviews, assess current systems, and prepare business cases for proposed changes.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the organisation’s finance processes, financial systems, and underlying technology.
Practical recent experience in a similar role with a strong understanding and experience with financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
Demonstrable experience of a range of financial accounting software and payroll systems.
