It is a great time to join Berkmann Wine Cellars as this newly created role will help to deliver on the 3 year strategic plan.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this newly created role will enhance the analytical capability of the Finance team and support data-led decision-making. You will provide financial expertise to the sales and distribution teams, and will influence key operational and strategic decisions.

You will work with colleagues across all levels of the organisation and need excellent communication skills to support and influence finance and non-finance colleagues across the business, to improve financial performance. This is a great opportunity to quickly gain visibility and trust within the organisation and progress further within the finance team or other parts of the business.

Support the sales and distribution teams with detailed reporting, budgeting and forecasting to help them achieve their business targets and become more efficient
Produce attractive and user-friendly dashboards and data visualisations for both the finance team and the wider business
Own and enhance the customer retrospective discount process, including maintaining accurate records of contracts and agreements, ensuring all accruals are recorded accurately
Assist in development and roll out of sales tools and platforms to improve sales team efficiency and commercial effectiveness
Develop a detailed financial analysis of our cost to serve different customer channels, regions and business segments
Assist with building templates for budget, forecasts and other data-heavy activities
Test check the financials on tender documents for group and regional on trade accounts, liaising with other departments as required
Qualified Accountant or holder of an equivalent qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
Experienced User of Power Platform Applications – Power BI, Power Query, or similar software
FMCG/Retail/Drinks industry experience would be helpful but we are open to candidates from other industries or the audit / business advisory profession
Solid knowledge and experience in financial planning and business analysis
Excellent modelling and Excel skills, always being ahead of new technologies
Ability to influence finance and non-finance colleagues
With a minimum of 3 days a week in our Clerkenwell office in London, working hours are 37.Salary range between £55k-£65k depending upon experience
10% bonus based on achievement of KPIs
