We are looking for talented, forward-thinking Senior Structural Engineers, with at least 3 years of post-graduate experience, including at least 2 years within the UK, who want to make a difference Ideally you’ll be working towards Chartership - and/or we'll offer you the support to do so.

The Role

You’ll work on a diverse range of projects including:

  1. High-end commercial new build projects (such as Copyright Building)
  2. Complex refurbishments of existing buildings (including Old War Office, The Ned and Bow Street Hotel)
  3. Mass housing projects and masterplans (such as Harrington Place, Woking)
  4. School projects (including St John’s, Leatherhead)
  5. Architecturally challenging private residential projects (such as Anna & Ava House and CorTen House)

Alongside this, you’ll be part of a team who are always striving to do things better, not just technically but ethically, to positively impact the climate emergency. We are looking for like-minded individuals who can help us continue to deliver these amazing projects and have a positive impact on society.

You will:

  • Assist in the delivery of client projects to time and budget.
  • Work closely with other teams within Elliott Wood including Sustainability.
  • Make periodic visits to site to monitor the works as they proceed.
  • Training – you will be proactive in your approach to your own training and IPD/CPD within the Practice framework.
About You

As mentioned, you’ll ideally have at least 4 years of experience within a similar organisation and ideally be working towards Chartership. Your experience should include at least 2 years within the UK.

You’ll have:

  • Managed smaller client projects and/or practice management issues.
  • A strong academic history with a relevant degree or equivalent from a well-recognized University.
  • Experienced in working in multi-disciplinary teams, including ideally, high-profile Architects.
  • Good project management skills including an ability to manage time, resources, costs and communication within and outside the Practice.
