Title : Network Engineer

Salary: Up to £50,000 + package including 5% bonus, 25 days holiday, pension

Location: Hybrid (Every Thursday in City of London)

As a Network Engineer, you'll be working with a client within the sustainable energy space, I am currently looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a Network Team working across both BAU & project based work; experience within Cisco networks, firewalls and wireless access points are the key skills required.

This client is doing some really interesting work, ranging from net-zero energy solutions to full smart buildings built from the ground up to be as energy efficient as possible; they work with huge clients along with the public sector.

This role will involve working with a wide range of tech so is most suitable for someone with a breadth of technical experience along with a passion for learning new skills

Role:

  • Operating at 2nd and 3rd line level
  • Takes ownership for the performance of the network across the estate.
  • Accountable for the secure and well managed network.
  • Responsible for core networks, both data centres and within an AWS cloud.
  • Partake in project design and implementation across the UK estate.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Experience managing LAN/WAN environments including experience with corporate MPLS networks.
  • Configuring and maintaining network equipment - routers, switches and firewalls
  • Managing Cisco SD-WAN environments
  • Firewall experience - Cisco ASA/firepower or Fortigate
  • Experience of IP telephony troubleshooting
  • Understanding of PSI 7 layer model

Desirable:

  • Exposure to an AWS environment
  • Experience working with SD-WANs
  • CCNA certification
  • Past experience in a network-dedicated role
