Our client is looking for several experianced PPT DRIVERS who are seeking a great Temp to Perm opportunities across the country

The perfect candidate for a PPT DRIVER will have experience working within a warehouse environment, however, we do welcome those with no experience who are looking to build an ongoing career with a reputable company for the foreseeable future, as training is provided from day 1 to ensure you can integrate into the environment.

The warehouse has a very warm feel, and you can sense the togetherness of the whole team whilst working there. support is available whenever needed from management, making this a great place to work, where all colleagues are working with a collaborative approach to achieve the same goal.

Shift

Monday to Friday - 22:00-06:00

Pay

£12.81 p/h

Key Duties and Accountabilities (will include but not be limited to)

  • Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including vans and flatbed trucks, to transport goods and materials to designated location
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
  • inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicles
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays
  • Ensure the application of the business “key standards” are maintained
  • Ensure productivity targets are met
  • Assist with stock counts and movements
  • Assist as required within all operational work areas
  • Ensure the warehouse and loading areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times to comply with Company
  • Policy and Health & Safety Regulations
  • General Housekeeping including sweeping/cleaning up the warehouse
  • Promote excellent working standards complying with the company BRCGS guidelines
  • Undertake any other tasks as directed by a member of the management team.

Key Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a PPT DRIVER, preferably in a commercial or warehouse setting - you will be required to be assessed
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and basic vehicle maintenance
  • Familiarity with various types of vehicles, such as vans and flatbed trucks
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
  • Ability to navigate using GPS or other navigation systems
  • Basic understanding of Math and English
  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative working in a busy environment
  • Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team to deliver results
