A highly rated international offshore law firm is seeking a talented Senior Associate to join its dynamic Dispute Resolution team in the British Virgin Islands (BVI). As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will work on high-profile, complex cases, providing expert legal advice and advocacy to clients.

About the Team

The BVI Litigation team consists of experienced, directory rated lawyers with a proven track record of success in global offshore disputes and cross-border restructurings. The team offers seamless client service, drawing on the strength of its global network across multiple jurisdictions.

Requirements

  • Barrister or qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years post-qualified experience
  • Understanding of corporate and commercial issues Excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage a team, and prioritise workloads Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to engage in business development and networking opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored legal advice and representation in commercial litigation and insolvency matters
  • Conduct effective matter management, including note taking, research, and drafting legal opinions and documents
  • Interview and advise clients, helping them decide the best course of action
  • Develop strong client relationships and communicate concisely with colleagues and clients
  • Contribute to business development activities, including thought leadership, networking, and introducing new clients to the firm

  • Lawyers looking to relocate to the BVI must be England & Wales / Northern Ireland and can be admitted to the BVI Bar from NQ upwards.
