£15.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Bolton.

You must be aged 25 or older for insurance purposes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for nationwide road planning service delivering various items of plant & equipment

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not limited to:

• Operate and drive various class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly.
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
• Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management.
• Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

Essential Skills


• Must be able to drive Manual gearbox vehicles
• CSCS card
• Hold a valid UK C+E Licence (CLASS 1)
• Must be 25 or older due to insurance purposes
• Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving a C+E vehicles.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
• Have an in-date UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card.
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English.
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.

Desirable Experience

• Ideally have experience working in similar environment
• CSCS card or equivalent
• Any other cards for example plant loader or loader securer would be an advantage

Training

• Full training provided for this role.
