Position: Junior Property Lawyer

Organisation: London based Local Authority

Duration: 3-month ongoing contract

Working Pattern: Full time

Working Arrangement: Hybrid working- once a week office attendance

Daily Rate: Competitive

Venn Group’s legal team are working with an innovative London based local authority to assist with their search for a JuniorProperty Lawyer on a locum basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer who would like to further their career in commercial property. The ideal candidate for this role will be either an experienced Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx who has a proven track record of advising in relation to commercial property matters. Local Government experience is preferable but not essential for this role provided there is significant relevant Commercial Property experience .

Duties shall include:

1- Supporting the Council and providing expert advice on all commercial property matters such as landlord and tenant issues, leases, licences, right of way, wayleaves and lease extensions

2- To have conduct of legal files on behalf of all the clients of the council, including local authorities, schools and housing associations to provide representation, advise and to undertake legal research

3- To give guidance, mentor and give training to less experienced team members
