In this role, you’ll report directly to the Payroll Manager and play a key part in ensuring our payroll operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will help us maintain compliance and deliver exceptional service to our colleagues. Your Key Responsibilities: Process monthly payroll accurately and on time, adhering to UK legislation and deadlines using the SAP system. Manage payroll-related details on our HR/Payroll system, including joiners, leavers, changes, benefit enrollments, and more. Conduct reconciliations and audits for monthly payrolls to ensure accuracy. Oversee the transmission of banking payments and perform bank account reconciliations. Deliver outstanding customer service through various channels, addressing a range of queries from our workforce. Continuously seek ways to enhance the efficiency of payroll operations through process improvements. Provide guidance on compensation, legislation, benefits, and tax-related matters. Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Human Resources, and Regional Teams on projects and system enhancements. Who You Are: The ideal candidate will have: Previous in-house UK payroll experience with a solid understanding of UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, National Insurance, SMP, SSP, NIC, and RTI. The ability to perform manual salary and tax calculations with precision. A working knowledge of the SAP Payroll/HR system. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. The capability to handle complex issues and implement effective solutions under pressure. A proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines.
