As Group Financial Reporting Manager you will be responsible for helping to support the team in overseeing external and internal reporting for the Group. You will be responsible for providing accurate financial information to internal and external parties as well as understanding and communicating related accounting implications to the wider business.
Reporting into and working closely with the Director of Statutory Reporting you will have the opportunity to work on a range of different projects in a growing business and fast paced environment.
Accounting for complex transactions and being a key subject matter expert on IFRS and statutory reporting
Preparation of the UK annual financial statements under FRS101 and Group annual report under full IFRS
Reviewing the financial reporting of overseas subsidiaries
Providing information to tax advisors in respect of the corporation tax and deferred tax computations for both the UK and overseas subsidiaries
Work with both finance and non-finance colleagues, advising on anything in relation to financial reporting
Leading the external audit process
Ad-hoc projects, analysis and insight as requested by the business
Supporting in the digital transformation of the finance function by taking leading on projects to automate and standardise processes
Candidates with financial reporting experience within a pharmaceutical company, retail or manufacturing business, or similar commercial background are likely to have the skills required to be successful in this role. ACA or ACCA qualified
Excellent IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
Extensive knowledge of all areas of a working finance department
Sound business knowledge and commercial exposure
Strong communication skills, and ability to explain financial information clearly
Ability to be flexible with working hours when working to deadlines
