Supply Teachers needed for September 2024 Various locations across the West Midlands Wanting to step out of full time teaching that requires endless planning prep and marking, but still want to teach? Still want full teacher pay rates but without the extra time and stress of taking work home? Why not join supply for the new academic year Required for the new academic year for September 2024, I have a variety of this popular and well respected schools both primary, secondary and SEND, who need flexible teachers to work on a supply basis What is supply teaching cover? As best as they can, schools will always try to pre-book in any supply cover they need, sometimes days or weeks ahead. But unforeseen changes in there staffing levels can happen quickly, and on the day cover is needed. Therefore we need supply teachers who are happy to be pre booked, but also be on call in the morning to go to local schools needing cover in your area (This area radius is set by you for your commuting preference) If morning calls - Schools will ring us any time from 7am-8:30am letting us know their requirements for that day. That is when we would call you, our emergency cover supply teacher / cover supervisor and offer you the work we have for that day. You will be covering lessons for the absent member of staff. Lessons will already be pre-planned and prepared. The lessons could be in one subject area, or in different subjects throughout the day. Benefits This is a great opportunity to gain experience working in different schools in your area and build relationships with them Flexibility – we work with you, offering you work around your availability. If you’re available, 1 day a week, part time, full time, or have changing availability, it’s not a problem Just pick up work on those days you're free A weekly, competitive rate of pay based on experience Working in school hours (usually 8:30-3:30) No work to take home at the end of the day What are your responsibilities: Supervising work that has been set in accordance with the schools policy Managing classroom behaviour Ensure that the pre-set work is completed by students Returning the completed work to the appropriate teacher or staff member Where appropriate reporting back on students behaviour during the class using the school’s agreed referral procedure If this sounds like type of work you’re looking for then please get in touch today We know emergency cover in mornings doesn’t work for everyone, so if you are looking for supply work, but emergency, on the day cover doesn’t work for you, we would still like to hear from you We also have opportunities for staff looking for advanced bookings, short-term roles, long-term roles and permanent posts. All our supply staff are paid on a PAYE basis, so you can rest assured that you’re paying the right level of Tax and National Insurance.
