The Construction Delivery Manager will assist tactical logistics planning for individual works sections in support of the work completed on strategic logistics. Thereafter, they will be responsible for the detailed planning and implementation, in collaboration with the rest of the HPC Delivery Team and Senior Construction Delivery Manager.
Support the contract partners in their delivery of the works packages to enable efficient delivery of their sections of works.
# Recommend temporary measures to mitigate against safety and/or quality concerns. Monitor works on site and input into the construction daily report to ensure information is reported up through the organization to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager and escalate any issues/concerns via detailed reports.
# Proactively communicate/co-ordinate with other site teams (H&S, contract, project controls, logistics) and Construction Delivery Managers to maintain good communication links, and ensure activity is well and timely reported. This will also include attendances at pre-start briefings and supporting the delivery of key messages to the contractor’s organization.
# Attend PLOD/PLOW meetings with the contractor, ensure outputs are recorded and issued to the Undertake safety and/or assurance inspections that support the project HSPI’s.
# Ensure clear, two-way communication with the Senior Construction Delivery Manager so that all activity and issues are directed appropriately.

Essential Experience and knowledge of construction sequencing, recovery plans and resource allocation. Working knowledge in the delivery of projects. Motivate and energize contract partners by building a climate of trust and understanding and actively seeking alternative views and opinions. Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Construction management, or equivalent vocational training and experience. SMSTS or IOSH qualification holder. Adopt a results-focused mindset, using initiative wherever possible and taking personal responsibility and accountability to ensure necessary action is taken to deliver excellence, value, and quality. Experience within the Nuclear environment is advantageous but can be off-set by experience within large Civil Engineering/Building/MEH projects.
