Production Manager Location: Invergordon, Scotland Company Overview: Join a dynamic manufacturing company specializing in the production of high-quality timber products. Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations in Invergordon. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of skilled workers, optimizing production processes, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production Leadership: Lead and manage the production team to achieve production targets and quality standards.
  2. Process Optimization: Continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  3. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer expectations.
  4. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among production staff.
  5. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and finished products.
  6. Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to production staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  7. Budget Management: Develop and manage the production budget to ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
  2. Proven experience in production management within the manufacturing industry, preferably in timber products.
  3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process improvement.
  5. Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  6. Proficiency in inventory management and budgeting.
  7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
