International textile manufacturer looking for a Quality Assurance Manager Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance department. The ideal candidate will be capable of moving from fully "hands-on" through to strategic level work and be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing quality control systems and processes designed to ensure continuous production of high-quality products and effective processes. As a Senior Quality Manager, you will oversee a team of quality professionals and work closely with production, engineering, and management teams to meet and exceed quality standards that align with customer expectations and regulatory requirements. As the business is in a period of growth, candidates with proven experience in establishing a "high performance Culture of Quality" in a similar sized business is essential. Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance protocols and standards to ensure product reliability and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Manage and mentor the quality assurance team, providing guidance and support to ensure professional growth and efficiency.
Be visible and a leader / figurehead for quality in-house.
Conduct regular quality assessments, including audits and inspections, to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to integrate quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process, from product development to final delivery.
Establish data collection from quality testing and inspections to identify trends, resolve issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and components, including conducting supplier audits and evaluations.
Manage the resolution of quality issues, including customer complaints, by conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare and present quality reports to senior management, highlighting performance metrics, improvement opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure the company's quality systems are up-to-date and compliant.
Create, deploy and lead a Quality Strategy to deliver the company's ambitions in new demanding sectors such as aerospace and automotive.
Lead the company's product development programme.
Play a key and active part in the Manufacturing Senior Management Team.
Ideally, a degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or relevant equivalent.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
Comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance standards (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, SPC), and regulatory requirements.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor staff.
Proficient in statistical analysis software and quality management systems.
The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
