Job Description

Are you passionate about technology and its potential to improve the lives of pets? Do you have experience in leading cross-functional product developments and programs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you

As the Companion Animal Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for bringing together engineering, user experience design, and best-of-breed technologies to drive the development of our companion animal products. You will play a critical role in leading products through the initiation stage, managing requirements, and overseeing the design and development process. Additionally, you will provide a strategic technical view for the product roadmap and measure the impact of our solutions as we deliver on our vision.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can ensure alignment with Engineering, Marketing and Commercial teams. You will have the opportunity to build tools, processes, and capacity to achieve our companion animal goals. Additionally, you will manage the project/product lifecycle, ensuring that cross-functional teams are working according to priorities and delivering on time and to a high standard.

Reporting to the Centre of Excellence Lead, you will be an independent and strong individual with experience in leading and implementing cross-functional product developments and programs. Ideally, you will have a mixed background in Software and Hardware development, with experience in a global matrix organisation. You should also possess the ability to lead a team in the right direction, even without formal authority.

As part of the TechLabs Product team, you will bridge the gap between R&D and worldwide marketing and sales organisations. This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of animal health technology development and

make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of companion animal technology in hardware, firmware, and software domains, for both monitoring and identification markets
  • Manage the project/product lifecycle and ensure alignment with agreed priorities and the overarching strategy and plan
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Marketing, and Commercial) to drive developments across the product portfolio
  • Provide a strategic technical view for the product roadmap and measure the impact of our solutions
  • Build tools, processes, and capacity to achieve the companion animal goals
  • Act as a technical expert, providing support to customers and engaging in technical conversations with engineering teams

Requirements:

  • BSc in Engineering or BEng/MEng
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional product developments and programs
  • Mixed background in Software and Hardware development, with experience in a global matrix organisation
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate individuals and teams
  • Systems Engineering experience and awareness of systems engineering principles (preferred, but not essential)
  • Keen interest in learning and mastering new technologies
  • Demonstrated industry experience, preferably in the technology or manufacturing sectors
  • Interest in science and technology, with a passion for pushing the boundaries of pet care technology
