Java Developer - Financial Services - 12-month contract - Glasgow

Cititec has partnered with a financial services firm seeking an experienced Java developer to be part of their front-office team to support their Equity Swaps trading business. The successful candidate will help to develop a system consisting of Java services that interact via messaging to produce the product outputs in real-time.

This long-term opportunity will be within the real-time calculation engine and its related components that sit in the product suite. This is a great opportunity to be part of a high-performing team whilst gaining exposure to complex and new technologies.

Hybrid working available - 3 days in the office, 2 from home

Experience required:

  • Strong Java programming skills
  • Experience with message-based architecture
  • Background in a trading environment, ideally equity/swaps
  • To be about to write unit tests and supply documentation
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
  • Experience with Spring, JUnit and Linux
