As they continue to expand operations, we are seeking a talented and experienced Head of Engineering to lead their engineering team to new heights of success. Position Overview: As the Head of Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in driving our engineering department forward. We are seeking a visionary leader with a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, who has successfully led teams within the manufacturing sector. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to step up from a principal or lead role and make a significant impact on the growth and development of a local company. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Develop and execute engineering strategies to drive operational efficiency and improve product quality.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new products or processes, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, such as production, quality assurance, and R&D, to streamline workflows and optimize productivity.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the manufacturing sector, with a focus on mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Strong technical expertise in engineering principles, with the ability to provide guidance and support to team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
  • Strategic mindset with a track record of implementing successful engineering strategies and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
