You will be part of our local leadership team in Scotland.
You will have the opportunity to lead projects and will work closely with Directors and our clients to identify solutions and delivery plans. HDR provides support for continued professional development and career progression. This helps us to maintain our position as a world leading sustainability team. As an Associate you will also provide mentoring and support for junior colleagues.
We work in a wide range of sectors including tech/media/telecoms, datacentres, commercial/corporate real estate, finance, healthcare, education, hotels & leisure, industrial, transport and mixed-use.
Net Zero Carbon strategies
• Development of Environmental & Energy Management Systems (ISO14001/ISO50001)
• Regulatory compliance activity such as UK Emissions Trading System and Environmental Permitting
The role will have the opportunity for further career progression.
We are looking for candidates who want to excel, and who are becoming leaders in their chosen area(s) of specialism.
Since Energy and Sustainability is such a wide field, we do not expect candidates to have existing expertise or experience in all areas. Energy & Net Zero Carbon
• Environmental Management and Continual Improvement
• You will have the ability to communicate and apply that knowledge to lead implementation of more sustainable working practices.
Engineering / Environmental / Energy / Sustainability / Scientific), OR equivalent experience
~ Ability to identify and manage strategic opportunities and risks, and the ability to influence, persuade and challenge others.
~ Excellent communication skills – to be able to correspond effectively with clients, sub-contractors, colleagues, and regulators.
~ Excellent project management skills and an ability to generate high quality deliverables (e.g. reports, calculations, emails or presentations) following documented Quality Management System protocols.
~ We would consider candidates at Associate Director or Senior consultant level. Driving license
~ Experience of monitoring contract staff or third-party appointments
~ Ability to mentor junior colleagues.
