Perform acceptance testing of analytical instrumentation and examination procedures before analyzing patient samples, implementing corrective actions for any deviations from acceptance criteria.
Conduct first-line reviews of internal quality checks and external quality assessments (EQA) as per standard operating procedures.
Ensure accuracy of patient results through vigilant monitoring and maintenance of laboratory apparatus.
Record information on the pathology computer system, ensuring compliance with national and local data standards.
Maintain the integrity of reagents and consumables by monitoring cold and ambient storage areas, taking immediate remedial action for temperature deviations.
Laboratory Informatics:
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, instrument-specific software, specialized data management software, and the laboratory information system.
