Join us as we build an inclusive community because lets face it, barriers aren't beneficial for anything but your skin--- Senior Procurement Specialist Department: Supply-Chain Location: Glasgow, UK The Procurement and Planning team is responsible for forecasting, purchasing, negotiating, and allocating all finished goods, kits, NPD and componentry. Our mission is to ensure the right stock is available at the right place and time. By fostering collaboration across all departments and engaging directly with retailers and suppliers, the Procurement and Planning team strives to maximise profitability, drive operational efficiencies, and effectively meet the demands of retailers. Our Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement cycle and global supply chain to ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services which align with company goals and objectives. role responsibilities: Manage and monitor purchase orders based on demand plans, inventory and supplier capacity. Build, maintain and optimise relationships with suppliers, fostering strategic partnerships to drive maximum value using KPI to manage expectations and meet target's. Source high quality, strategic suppliers for both services and goods – collaborating with QC to ensure suitability. Address and resolve supplier-related issues, flagging risk to relevant internal stakeholders when required. Work cross-functionally with PD and logistics teams to support NPD launches. Support global logistics and managing goods in transit from suppliers to UK, US and European 3PL warehouses, and maintain up-to-date documentation required for logistics, warehouse and finance teams. Investigate and resolve inventory and invoicing discrepancies in collaboration with finance department. Make key problem solving decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, ensuring meticulous attention to detail. Utilise and develop the use of the ERP/MRP systems to automate processes, provide reports and maximise department efficiencies. Motivate, mentor, and support the procurement team and wider supply chain department. what we're looking for: Skills in: Supplier Relationship and Performance Management Inventory and Supply Chain Management Data Analysis and Decision-Making Communication and Stakeholder Management Process Improvement Leadership Previous experience working in a similar role (ideally, FMCG) Solutions focussed - able to multi-task and problem solve Organised with exceptional attention to detail Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Proactive attitude Advantageous but not essential: Possess (or working towards) a recognised procurement qualification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), or equivalent. what's in it for you?
