This is an exciting new post and offers the opportunity for an individual with demonstrable leadership and a vision for children's services. Someone who is passionate about the health, development, and opportunities for all children, who wants to work in partnership to improve health inequalities and outcomes for the children and families living in East Kent.

The role will provide professional and strategic leadership for babies, children and young people wherever they are cared for across the Trust. They will be responsible for initiating and influencing the creation of new models of care and ensuring national standards are met in the delivery of high-quality services that support the care of children and young people.
They will offer dynamic and responsive leadership with a flexible and adaptable approach to support the local and system demands.

They will provide clinical leadership to Nurses and Allied Health Professionals and line management as required within children's services, motivating, and developing individuals to ensure they are able to deliver all aspects of their role.

The overall purpose of this role is to advocate for babies, children & young people, driving improvements to impact patient experience, improving health inequality while delivering high-quality cost-effective care.
We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with fivehospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people. Our vision is 'great healthcare from great people'. We have a new way of working at East Kent Hospitals, called 'We care'. If artificial intelligence (AI) programmes are used then the application may be rejected due to this document being an important part of the assessment process. This does not prevent applicants seeking appropriate support with applications should they need to for the purposes of any declared disability.

Please note that if you require a Certificate of Sponsorship to work in the UK you must declare this on your application form, even if you currently have a certificate of sponsorship or a work permit for another role and are already working in the country.
