Role: SEMH Teacher Full-time Location: Newham- East London We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEMH Teacher to join our dynamic team in Pupil Referral Units in East London. I work with a number of SEMH Specialist schools across East London. This rewarding role involves working with students from vulnerable backgrounds, addressing social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as managing behavioural difficulties. Key Responsibilities: Tailored Instruction: Delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Individualized Support: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to adjust and implement Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) based on students' evolving needs. Behavioural Management: Employ effective strategies for managing challenging behaviours and fostering a positive learning environment. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the planning and development of a curriculum that addresses the unique needs of students with SEMH. Assessment and Feedback: Provide regular assessments, constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential for this role. SEMH Experience: Proven track record of working with students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges. PRU or Alternative Provision Experience: Prior experience in a Pupil Referral Unit or Alternative Provision setting is desirable.
