Location: Stanwell Position: General Teaching Assistant (Primary School) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time (term-time only) Start Date: Immediate or as soon as possible Empowering Learning, a leading education recruitment agency, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed General Teaching Assistant to support primary schools in Stanwell. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about making a difference in children's education. About the Role: As a General Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers, helping to create a positive and effective learning environment. You will support students both academically and emotionally, providing 1:1 assistance, small group work, and general classroom support. Your role will vary based on the needs of the school, ensuring every child has the support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities: Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons Support students with varying learning needs on a 1:1 or small group basis Prepare classroom resources and help set up activities Supervise students during breaks and lunchtimes Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe, positive learning environment Promote the social, emotional, and intellectual development of the studentsRequirements: Previous experience in a school setting is desirable, but not essential A passion for working with children and helping them succeed Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles Relevant qualifications (e.g. Teaching Assistant Certificate) are beneficial but not requiredWhy Work with Empowering Learning?
