Nuclear Safety Engineer Great Yarmouth/Sizewell B
Risktec Solutions Ltd is an established, independent engineering and risk management consultancy. The successful candidates will support the delivery of technical engineering, safety case and project management to several major projects within the nuclear power generation sector. Such projects include major plant modifications and system engineering at Sizewell B, safety case production for Sizewell C and external/internal hazards work for EDF Design Authority. Across the wider team individuals are involved in work supporting commissioning activities at Hinkley Point C and safety case documentation for Small Module Reactor Generic Design Assessments.
This role provides an opportunity to be part of an exciting, dynamic, and rapidly growing nuclear team across the south of England. Supporting the delivery of major safety cases.
Facilitating hazard identification and optioneering workshops.
Production of formal technical reports, safety cases and other project deliverables on time and to budget.

Implementation of modifications to plant, including:
Undertaking plant obsolescence assessments.
Authoring testing and commissioning strategies and functional test procedures.

Support to plant operability, including:
Condition monitoring and identification of plant faults.
Supporting equipment reliability reviews, including plant walk downs.
Management of projects, project teams and interfacing with clients.

This role offers the opportunity to support the development of wider company initiatives, such as industry networking and learning. The role also provides the potential to support other Risktec sectors such as oil and gas, clean energy, transport, defence, and conventional power in the future.
The ability to travel within the UK.
