This is a great opportunity for a Physician South Shore Hospital, a 374-bed community hospital, offers a Nocturnist opportunity for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiologist. Full-time position with full, generous benefits consists of 5 nights (12 hr shifts 7p to 7a) per two weeks.
Job Description
Full-time Nocturnist position consists of five (5) nights (12-hour shifts 7p to 7a) per two-week period. Offering specific scheduled nights with flexibility and integrated with other call-taking anesthesiologists. The Nocturnist will always be working with CRNAs, one dedicated solely to labor and delivery floor and one working in the main OR. Overnight care includes general surgery, trauma, neurosurgical trauma, and coverage of the birthing unit.
Essential Functions:
Monitor patient before, during, and after anesthesia
Manage complications of anesthesia postoperatively
Manage post-op pain
Manage labor analgesia
Consult and collaborate with other services for care of patients
Respond to codes and aid in resuscitation
Respond and care for trauma patients
Deliver anesthesia care outside of an operating room service
South Shore Hospital is a vibrant 374-bed community hospital and level 2 Trauma center providing world-class quality care through both our South Shore Health physician groups and through agreements with Boston's teaching hospitals including surgeons from Brigham and Women's Hospital, pediatricians from Boston Children's Hospital, and oncologic services through Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
