We have substantial plans that are about to start- see for the plan. We are all about food, growing it, serving it, retailing it and grow alot of our produce. We are just launching a vertical farm in our warehouse producing culinary fungi, micro's, leafy greens and fruiting crops. Sustainability and hyper local production are important to us. You will be employed with a full contract, no zero hours uncertainty. Your role will include: Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of high-quality dishes according to our recipes and standards. This includes cutting, marinating, seasoning, and cooking various ingredients. Cooking and Plating: Execute cooking techniques with precision, ensuring that all dishes are cooked to perfection and presented attractively. Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and efficient service. Menu Development: Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dishes, ingredients, and cooking techniques. Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure a diverse and appealing menu selection. Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Conduct regular taste tests and inspections to ensure consistency and adherence to established recipes. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and service. Communicate effectively and maintain a positive work environment to foster teamwork. Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior members of the kitchen staff. Share culinary knowledge, techniques, and best practices to help them develop their skills. Food Safety and Hygiene: Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment. Adhere to proper handling and storage of ingredients to prevent contamination and wastage. Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels, reporting shortages, and participating in regular stocktaking. Minimize food waste and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients. Adherence to Regulations: Stay up to date with health and safety regulations and maintain compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines, including allergen information and dietary restrictions. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £11.00-£12.00 per hour Expected hours: 45 per week Additional pay:
