Tool Maintenance Engineer

My client is an established Manuafcturer of plastic components for a number of industries, due to expansion within their tool room they now require a Tool Maintenance Engineer to join the business and to support the toolroom in the Maintenance, Strip down and rebuild of Injection Mould Tooling.

Shifts:

* Flexible ideally 2 shifts (6-2pm / 2-10pm or similar)

Daily Duties and Responsibilities as Tool Maintenance Engineer;

* Maintain tools, including preventive maintenance, in preparation for Production to meet the requirements of the Production Plan.

* Tooling strip down and diagnosis for repair and Tooling improvements.

* Assist all Production personnel in diagnosing of tooling/production issues.

* Advise on new tooling projects to highlight potential design weaknesses.

* Demonstrate ability to make decisions based on data.

* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times including 5S

* Polishing of moulds to quality acceptable levels.

* Fabrication of fixtures and spare parts for tooling.
