Test Technician

Location: Belfast

Hybrid: Monday - Friday - 37.5 Hour Week.

Contract: Permanent.


The primary role will be to investigate and provide root cause analysis on returned HeartSine product. You will also be required to assist with processing non-conforming product arising from everyday operations and to provide support to the Manufacturing Operations team. The role may also include development activities such as preparation and maintenance of test equipment or strategies as required for the job.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Investigate and process returned product and provide reports (Including Root Cause Analysis).
  • Investigate and implement repairs to test equipment within customer returns lab.
  • Assist with execution of preventative maintenance procedures as required within customer returns lab.
  • Diagnose faults and process non-conformance reports associated with test equipment as required.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing operations as required.
  • Investigate, implement repairs, review and disposition non-conforming product as required.
  • Escalate problems, notify relevant departments as necessary, document and implement solutions as per procedures
  • Maintain awareness of company Health and Safety Policy and Fire Evacuation Procedure and take all reasonable precautions against personal harm or injury
  • Maintain awareness of company training requirements and attend training sessions as required
  • Provide training to others as required
  • Maintain Quality systems documentation and generate new documentation as required.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by the Product Support Engineering Team Lead

What you will need:

Candidates should have a minimum of a UK Level 5 or equivalent qualification in an Electronics discipline .

Experience: Essential

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to convey complex or technical information in an effective manner to non-technical staff.

A working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word Processing, Excel and Outlook .

Basic ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.

Experience: Desirable

I ndustrial experience in a similar post with experience in electronics.

Experience of work ing with high voltage circuitry

Experience of equipment calibration

Experience of hand soldering

Proficient use of electronics lab equipment i.e., oscilloscope, digital multimeter , etc.
