Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Teacher specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Cross-Curriculum to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and experience working with students with ASD across different age groups. This individual will be responsible for designing and delivering interdisciplinary lessons that cater to the unique needs of students with ASD, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities: Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, including visual supports, structured routines, and sensory-friendly materials. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students with ASD feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed. Use evidence-based practices and specialized teaching strategies to support the social, emotional, and academic development of students with ASD. Collaborate closely with other teachers, support staff, and therapists to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to meeting the needs of students with ASD. Conduct ongoing assessments and collect data to monitor student progress and inform instructional planning and interventions. Provide regular communication and support to parents/guardians, including sharing progress updates, offering resources, and collaborating on individualized learning goals. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Teaching certification/license required, with a specialization in Special Education and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred. Proven experience working with students aged 7 to 16 with Autism Spectrum Disorder, including knowledge of evidence-based interventions and teaching strategies. Strong understanding of curriculum development and integration principles, with the ability to adapt instruction to meet the unique needs of students with ASD.
