BRIDGING & DEVELOPMENT UNDERWRITER - NORTH WEST At Stride Recruitment, we take pride in our collaboration with a well-established bridging lender, which has recently introduced a new role for a Bridging Finance Underwriter. To be considered for this position, you need to be a skilled underwriter in bridging finance with a minimum of 12 months of experience. The Role: Bridging & Development Finance Underwriter Location: Cheshire About: Our client offers first and second-charge bridging loans secured against residential, semi-commercial, and commercial properties, providing short-term lending. Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate loan applications, conduct thorough risk assessments, and make informed decisions based on financial analysis.
  • Perform comprehensive due diligence on borrowers, collateral, and property values to ensure accurate risk evaluation.
  • Ensure all underwriting activities align with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with the sales and origination teams to structure deals that meet both client and company objectives.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Support brokers and clients throughout the underwriting process.
  • Respond to initial inquiries within the specified SLA timescales.
