Your role will involve providing personalised assistance, promoting a love for learning, and contributing to the overall academic development of students in diverse subjects.We are looking for someone with a passion for supporting diverse learners and have expertise working with students who have Special Educational Needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will be to: Collaborate with the class teacher to plan, supervise, and execute engaging and creative lessons tailored to diverse learning needs. Demonstrate positive behaviour and serve as a role model for students, effectively managing challenging behaviours when they arise. Offer personalised one-on-one assistance to students with special educational needs, adapting teaching methods to accommodate individual learning styles. Facilitate small group interventions to provide targeted support and reinforce learning objectives. Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment by assisting with behaviour management and fostering a sense of belonging among students. Implement strategies to support students with additional learning needs, ensuring they have equal access to educational opportunities. Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant role: Energetic and patient with strong classroom management skills. Hold the Right to Work in the UK. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through GSL Education. Team Teach training or equivalent is highly desirable. HLTA applicants welcomed. Cover Supervisor applicants welcomed.
