Position: Boat Builder / Carpenter Location: Southampton & Hythe Duration: Permanent Rate: £33K to £35K Start: ASAP Ref: 187/29 HSB Technical are currently recruiting for a number of skilled Boatbuilders / Joiners / Carpenters to work on first and second fix on new build luxury yachts. Requirements –

  • Good knowledge of 1st & 2nd Fix
  • Able to understand and work from technical drawings
  • Confident in installing and assembling bespoke units
  • Final fitting of hard ware windows, sinks and other parts of the yacht
  • Scribe in units, trim & adjust.
  • Work closely together with other trades
  • Help lay teak decking
  • Competency to work with tight tolerances.
  • Seeks to pursue perfection, with a coach able and engaged attitude
Ideal candidates will have to supply own tools, for this role. NVQ level 2 / 3 in Boatbuilder / Carpentry / Joiner or apprentice trained. Must have worked within the marine industry.
