SEN Case Officer
Remote Working
Duration: 6 month contract initially
Start: ASAP
Rate: Daily rate available Inside IR35

Our client is currently looking for experienced SEN Officers to join them on a remote working basis for 6 months initially.

At least 2-3 years experience working as an SEN Case Officer/Caseworker/EHCP Coordinator within a Local Authority
To have sound knowledge of SEN Code of Practice and Disability 0 to 25 Years and Children and Families Act 2014

Manage and coordinate an allocated caseload of children and/or young people with an “Education, Health and Care Plan”
Support families to understand the processes when an EHCP annual review and or amendments to the EHCP
Maintain an excellent working knowledge of the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice (the COP)and to follow the processes and procedures set out in the COP in respect of maintaining EHCPs
Provide advice and information about review processes, as well as feedback regarding individual cases, to those young people and to parents, carers, colleges and training providers and to other professionals
To make effective use of the SEND Database, ensuring that LA procedures are followed and all relevant data and information is recorded on the database
Prepare written briefs for all advisory panels, setting out key issues, options for consideration and financial implications, ensuring that information submitted is accurate and complete
