Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Instructor to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our students. As an English Instructor at [School Name], you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality English education to students who require additional support and understanding. Responsibilities: Curriculum Delivery: Design and implement engaging English lessons tailored to the specific needs and abilities of individual students. Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed. Assessment: Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their English language skills. Individualized Support: Work closely with our support staff and other teachers to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs. Behavior Management: Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respectful behavior and engagement in learning. Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external support agencies to provide holistic support to students. Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest developments in English education and special education practices, attending relevant training and workshops as required. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. People without a teaching qualification would be welcomed. Experience working in a similar role, preferably within an Alternate Provision or Special Education setting. Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment frameworks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning. The ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs.
