The Financial Controller role We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Financial Controller to drive effective financial management within the organisation. As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial processes, reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance to support the company's growth and financial objectives. Key responsibilities for the Financial Controller- Oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations, including month end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to provide timely and accurate financial information.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare and present financial statements, management reports, and analysis to senior management and a variety of stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate and collaborate with various departments to develop annual budgets, track financial performance against budget, and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Manage cash flow and working capital to optimise financial resources and liquidity while minimising risks.
- Oversee external audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
- Work closely with heads of departments to ensure time recording is being maintained and utilisation reporting is being carried out on a timely basis.
- Providing guidance, training, and mentorship to the finance team to ensure a high level of performance and adherence to best practices.
- Manage show reporting and consolidated reporting of shows.
- Assist with accounting software change / systems implementation experience (Netsuite).
- Proven experience (8+ years) in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership position.
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.
- Consolidation experience into a US based parent company.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Experience in the technology, entertainment, or creative industry.
- US GAAP / FRS 102 conversion experience.
- Willing to commute to our locations in either Wimbledon or Hayes once a week.
