Permanent Fire and Security Engineer – Nuneaton We have an exciting job opportunity for a Permanent Fire and Security Engineer to join our team in Nuneaton. The majority of your work will be within Warwickshire, Leicestershire and the West Midlands. The successful applicant will join our fantastic service team and will undertake the routine and corrective maintenance of Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Fire Alarm systems, whilst also being part of the emergency call out rota (1 week in 8). Responsibilities: Routine maintenance visits and servicing of predominantly intruder alarms and CCTV systems for mostly commercial/public sector customers. Occasionally servicing fire alarms, aspiration, emergency lights and access control systems. (15% of workload but growing). Corrective maintenance and fault finding for predominately intruder alarm and CCTV systems but also on access control, fire alarms and aspiration systems. Small works installing extra equipment onto existing systems plus upgrading existing panels and recorders. Mostly working alone as part of a larger service team liaising with other engineers, the Technical Support Manager and the Service Manager. Key Skills/Requirements: A minimum of 6 years time served experience but preferably more, working to industry standards within the security systems industry. Main strength and experience on intruder alarms and CCTV. Experience with access control, gate & barriers, fire alarms would be beneficial so we can build on this. You will be able to complete BS7858 security screening, with an enhanced DBS check and have a full UK drivers licence (with a maximum of 3 points). You need to be polite and courteous and have great communication skills - both written and verbal. You ideally live within 25 miles of CV11 6GX. Experience with the following intruder equipment: Gardtec, Honeywell Galaxy, Risco LightSYS, Risco & Visonic wireless systems. Dualcom signalling. Experience with Concept Pro & Hikvision CCTV equipment (both analogue and IP). Additional experience in Access Control/Door Entry/Fire Alarms/Aspiration & Emergency Lighting. Salary/Benefits: £27-32k depending on experience and knowledge plus standby package. Local work with minimum travel and no 'staying away'. Christmas bonus and summer end of year bonus. 31 days of paid holiday including usual bank holidays, 3 days over the Christmas period and 1 extra day of paid leave available to volunteer.
