The Graduate: As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will have at least a bachelor’s degree in psychology, or a related subject. You will be passionate about the education of young learners and will have a drive to preserve the wellbeing of children by adhering to safeguarding procedures. Whilst previous experience of working with children, or in a school setting is advantageous, it is not essential. What is essential is a warm, friendly personality and the ability to build strong bonds with SEN pupils and teaching staff. Assisting teaching staff to plan and deliver high-quality lessons.
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, giving constructive feedback, and identifying additional support needs.
Building strong relationships with pupils and staff to create a positive learning environment.
Providing general support to children in a 1:1 basis.
